We accept all metals, basically if it is made of metal (or mostly of metal) we can recycle it.
We accept a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including:
- Copper, aluminum, brass, stainless steel
- Steel, iron, tin
- Insulated wire, radiators, and more
If you're unsure about a specific item, feel free to contact us.
We do not accept:
- Hazardous or radioactive materials
- Public property (e.g., street signs, manhole covers) unless chain of custody can be proven.
- Liquids and pressurized containers like propane tanks unless valves are removed
- Glass such as windows or table tops
⚠️ Important Notice: Lithium Battery Policy
For safety reasons, we do not accept lithium batteries or any items containing lithium. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries
- Devices powered by lithium batteries (e.g., scooters, chargers, power tools etc.)
- Loose or damaged lithium cells
Please ensure all items dropped off or submitted for service do not contain lithium components. If you're unsure, feel free to contact us for clarification. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment.
Yes! We provide same-day or next-day pickup for qualifying commercial, industrial, and residential customers. We also offer bin supply for ongoing or large-scale projects.
Absolutely. Our Langley facility is open to the public during business hours for drop off. Appointments are not required, and we have 24-hour drop off outside our gate.

- Fast service: weigh-in, unload, weigh-out, and payment — often in under 5 minutes
We base our pricing on:
- Current market rates

Yes, we offer competitive payouts via ATM or EFT, depending on the transaction.
We pay for most metals, and we have a 500lb minimum on steel and tin for payment.
Yes. We provide guaranteed destruction for sensitive or proprietary materials, including R&D equipment and confidential components.
Yes - to comply with provincial regulations and our internal safety and compliance standards, all materials must be delivered in an insured vehicle with a clearly visible license plate.
Whether you’re cleaning out a garage or completing a renovation, we’re happy to accept residential drop‑offs. Please note that we do not offer pickup for residential metal recycling; however, we can provide bins for larger projects if needed.

Identification & Delivery Requirements
In accordance with the British Columbia Metal Dealers and Recyclers Act, all customers selling regulated metal must present one valid form of government‑issued photo identification at the time of transaction. Accepted identification includes:
- A valid BC driver’s license issued under the Motor Vehicle Act
- A valid driver’s license from another Canadian province or the United States that includes a photograph
- A valid BC Identification Card issued under the Identification Card Regulation
Yes. To comply with provincial regulations and our internal safety and compliance standards, all materials must be delivered in an insured vehicle with a clearly visible license plate.
For safety, compliance, and regulatory reasons, West Coast Metal Recycling Inc. does not accept materials delivered by the following means:
- Bicycles
- Shopping carts
- Scooters or personal mobility devices
- Walk‑in deliveries
- Taxi services
- Ride‑share services (Uber, Lyft, etc.)
These requirements are in place to:
- Ensure compliance with provincial legislation
- Help prevent metal theft
- Maintain accurate transaction records
- Protect our customers, staff, and community
- Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
